Abstract

Research methodology. The following methods were chosen for the study: the content analysis for units «word» and «image», which allowed us to establish the modality of texts and to distinguish the real range of issues of the newspaper «Kino-week» for 1927; the method of analysis and the method of description, as well as the method of observation, which helped us, according to certain criteria, to fix the contents of the articles of the newspaper «Kino-week» for 1927. Thanks to the generalization method, we were able to establish the general properties and features of the problematic range of the articles of the newspaper «Kino-week» for 1927, namely, the problems of foreign film press and film censorship, the problems of the theoretical crisis of Soviet cinema art, and others like that.

Results. The problematic range of articles of the newspaper «Kino-week» for 1927 is outlined. It was established that for the attention of the recipient to the problem of the theoretical crisis of Soviet art, the authors of the articles used inductive occasional, questioning sentences, offered variants of its solution, using a comparative analysis to determine the specifics of Soviet cinematography. In journalistic texts, the problem of the quality of the content of foreign film presses was presented with the help of antitheses, questioning, occasional sentences, exclamations, lexemes, executed in quotation marks, due to which, in articles where the authors stated the existence of contracted articles and the fictitiousness of the freedom of speech, recorded cases of violation of journalistic ethics, arose ironic tone.

Novelty. Identification of the problematic range of articles of the newspaper «Kino-week» for 1927, which includes an analysis of foreign film press, foreign film censorship, as well as the theoretical crisis of Soviet cinema art. For the first time, features of disclosure of the above-mentioned problems on the content, composition, and language levels of journalistic texts are described.

The practical significance. The results of the study can be applied in the textbook on the specialized press about cinema, as well as during the teaching of the special course «Specialized press about cinema».
