Active development of expert television outlined the tendency of personalization of information by experts performing the role of TV presenters (expert-presenters) and presenters acquiring the role of experts (presenting experts) as opposed to the traditional images of professional TV presenters. This feature of image-creation is caused by the fact that an expert program presenter should, first of all, be a mentor and teacher for the audience, which needs high-quality, proven and trustworthy specialized profile information.
Expert programs are characterized by the «person-centricity» of their plot. Personalized information is perceived by the viewer with more trust. The deep connection of expert programs with the audience is achieved through the application of archetypes, embedded in the on-screen images of leading experts and leading experts. Most often these are the archetypes of a «wise man (sage)", «hero», «father» and «mother», which are positively interpreted by the Ukrainians.
Novelty. Within the framework of the article the author’s image is analyzed as a tool for personalization of expert programs and the peculiarities of this image’s formation are determined.
