Abstract
Research methodology. The material of the research is archival materials of periodicals and videos. In the course of the research, methods of document analysis, descriptive, interviewing, analysis were used.
Results. In the process of analyzing the emergence and formation of the profession of an announcer on Ukrainian television, it was established that in the years 1952–1969, former posts were attracted to work on this post, which, during practical work, learned the features of the new audiovisual art. On the materials of the plots of the movie "Soviet Ukraine" it was proved that the first speakers of Ukrainian television were Novella Serapionova and Olga Danilenko. Interview with T. Tsymbal made it possible to collect and clarify information on the training of personnel for television: specialists from related fields, as well as non-industry branches, were involved in the work on television; In order to improve the professional level of employees at the television studios, special training was introduced.
The archival documents testify to the lectures and practical classes in the Kyiv television center, the development of requirements for professional and personal qualities, which were put forward in particular by an announcer. Professional training of skilled personnel for television began only in the late 1960s and early 1970s with the creation of profile departments at the Faculty of Cinematography of the Karpenko-Karyi Theatre Kyiv State Institute (1966) and the Faculty of Journalism of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University (1971).
