The Organization of Self-Dependent Work of Documentation Students (at the Example of the Subject «Information Monitoring»)
Abstract
Research methodology. Is to apply theoretical methods (documentary analysis, analytical and synthetic processing of information), which enables to determine the peculiarities of the organization of independent work of students of the direction of preparation «Documentation and Information Activity» on the example of mastering the discipline «Information Monitoring».
Results. The article considers the content of independent work of students of the direction of training «Documentation and Information Activity» on the example of mastering the academic discipline «Information Monitoring».
Novelty. Is the organization of self-dependent work of future specialists (in particular, on the direction of preparation «Documentation and Information Activity») in the study of the discipline «Information Monitoring».
The practical significance. In the process of introducing a credit-module training system, a large part of the teaching material is made on self-dependent study by students. Therefore, the main task of the teacher in high school is not the reproductive teaching of material, but the organization of active self-dependent work of students. Self-dependent work of students — documentary studies the activization of educational and cognitive activity; teaches self-dependently to work with different sources; forms in them the skills of self-dependent planning and organization of their own educational process, which provides transition to continuous education (self-education) after the completion of studies at a higher educational institution, makes it possible to maximize the use of strong personal qualities due to the self-dependent choice of time and methods of work, sources of information; to acquire the necessary knowledge, to acquire practical skills for forming the readiness of future specialists for professional activity. The personal approach, the differentiation of the unique features of each student, makes it possible to organize the training of students in line with modern trends in mobile readiness for learning.
Further ways of solving this problem include improving the conditions that ensure the purposeful «transition» of self-dependent work in self-education, self-education as a basis for the formation of professional skills of a specialist in the field of study «Documentation and Information Activity».
