Blogging and Public Journalism: the Diffusion Area

Abstract


Research methodology. The basis of scientific research was the informational and analytical approaches to the study of the development of blogs as a platform for public journalism: Methods used: analysis and synthesis to determine the levels of study of the studied issue in scientific circles, generalization of the results obtained to identify prospects for submissions of the investigated issue.

There reviewed the information provided on blogger.com, blogger.com, livejournal.com, i.ua, etc. The Ukrainian blogosphere is full of diverse materials that show the attitude of Ukrainians to events, describe and characterize the picture of the world of each and the nation as a whole. There is an ongoing dynamics in the construction of blogs that are more similar to diary entries, but to journalistic materials, which testify to the period of development of civic journalism. This aspect of the development of journalism as a social institution contributes to strengthening the nation's social positions, bringing people together on common values.

The article deals with the analisize of the blogosphere as a center for the development of amateurs journalism (where professional authors-journalists could also create) have proven themselves as a communications platform. World-Wide Web became the diary of the global communications system, which created hypertextuality as a rice of media texts.

Results The level of development of public journalism is analyzed, and the main age groups of bloggers are defined and their themes are specific to them.

Novelty. The results of the dynamic development of Ukrainian civic journalism, which is now largely in the blogosphere, are published, but it begins the way for its separation. The methodology of introduction of the newest communication models and modern platforms, which now can be not only blogs, but also other amateur downloads, is offered.

Ukrainian public journalism and the modern blogosphere are now in the zone of diffusion and close interconnection, which also affects the functioning of the network media industry which can raise the level of motivation of the traditional mass media. Media activities require the introduction of the latest communication models and platforms, which become blogs, changing their subject and form. The systematic growth of blogging in the domestic network information space is evident which is conditioned not only by the convenience but also by the availability of a communicative service.

The constant rapprochement of electronic diaries with the media leads to the birth of new genres, new trends in the coverage of information, new mechanisms for shaping the image of the state / person, and so on.

Practical significance. The results of the study can be used to introduce new applied socio-communicational technologies of the network.
