Means of Formation of Verbal Paradigm of Archetypic Symbol «Enemy» in Media Space

Abstract


The purpose of the study – analysis of the verbal paradigm of the archetypal symbol «enemy» in the media space of the Ukrainian National Information Agency «Ukrinform».

Methodology research. The following methods were used in the article: comparative-historical, synthesis and generalization to trace the origin of the definitions «symbol», «archetype», «archetypal symbol», their comparison and juxtaposition; descriptive method: methods of contextual analysis and interpretation, on the basis of which the archetypal symbol «enemy» is analyzed, the means of its verbalization, semantic and structural features in the media space are revealed; system analysis to identify the means of forming the verbal paradigm of the archetypal symbol "enemy".

Results. The problem of correlation of concepts «symbol», «archetype» and «archetypal symbol» is considered in the article; the means of formation of the verbal paradigm of the archetypal symbol of the «enemy» and its modifiers – figurative tokens-symbols are analyzed; described the lexical and semantic field of the archeological symbol «enemy»; outlined verbalizers that modify it; the verbal paradigm of the means of creating the archetypal symbol «enemy» in the modern media space is represented.

Novelty. The means of forming the verbal paradigm of the archetypal symbol «enemy» in modern media discourse were studied for the first time; outlined its lexical-semantic field and characteristic structure; It is proved that the means of verbalization of the archeological symbol «enemy» in the medical space of the Ukrainian National Information Agency «Ukrinform» are tokens to denote the form of attackers, aggressors, enemies.

The practical significance of the research results is that they can be used by authors of journalistic texts in the coverage of military events in eastern Ukraine to form an associative field of the archetypal symbol «enemy» in order to better understand the content of the information message.
