Formation of Skills of Information-Analytical Activity and Consulting of Future Information Specialists: Experience of Journalism Faculty of Zaporozhzhia National University
Abstract
The purpose of the study is to systematize and present information about the specifics of students’ practical skills in information and analytical activities and counseling at the Faculty of Journalism of ZNU.
Research methodology. During the research, the method of analysis and synthesis was used, which allowed to compose information about the acquisition of practical skills by information students during their studies. Also, with the help of the social-communication method, it was possible to assess the general training of the Bachelor’s degree in higher education in the specialty «Information, Library and Archival Affairs».
Results. The article presents the practical and methodological experience of Zaporizhzhya National University for the preparation of bachelors in «Information, Library and Archival Affairs», considers the specifics of the formation of information-analytical competence and information consulting. Particular attention is paid to the characterization and comparison of the structural components of the educational program and practical training, which allow a balanced formation of the necessary knowledge and skills in these general and professional competencies.
Novelty. For the first time, information on practical training of students at the Journalism Faculty of Zaporizhzhya National University in the field of preparation of bachelor’s degrees in higher education in «Information, Library and Archival Affairs», which allows to form information-analytical competence and information consulting.
Practical significance. The obtained data can be used for further research, as well as recommendations for the development of curricula and educational programs.
